Comhaltas Music Class/Trad for Trocaire

Thank You to students of the music class who performed in Templemore to raise funds for Trocaire. The students and parents who collected on the day raised €362 which was forwarded to Trocaire. This is part of a national effort by branches of Comhaltas nationwide, which results in a large donation to Trocaire annually.

Loughmore Drama Group

Loughmore drama group will hold their AGM this Monday night the 22nd of Oct at 8.30 pm in Loughmore Parish Centre. All previous and new members are welcome.

Scor na bPaisti

Auditions will be held on this Monday 22nd Oct at 7.30pm in Loughmore National School. All children living in the parish of Loughmore/Castleiney and going to any National School are eligible. We are hoping to have entries in all competitions this year so auditions will cover Solo Song, Recitation, Ballad group, Figure dancing, set dancing, sketch and question time”

William (Billy) Egan R.I.P.

The death has occurred of William Billy Egan Knocka, Drom, Templemore and late of Whitefield Loughmore. 

Deeply regretted by his wife Marian, sons Timmy and William, sisters, nieces, nephews, brother-in-law, relatives and a large circle of friends.

Game Sunday night @ 8.30pm. sharp. All are welcome.

Loughmore Folk Choir

practice on this Wednesday night in the hall (supper room) at 8.15pm finishing at 9.00pm. Discussion to take place about the Christmas outing. If anyone has clothes, shoes, boots in any condition as long as they are clean to defray costs of outing please bring them on Wednesday night. Please return any outstanding child protection forms on Wednesday night also. New members welcome.

Clergy October Collection

A sincere thank you to all who contributed to the Clergy Collection for the priests of the Parish and of the Archdiocese, €1550 was contributed from the envelopes returned. This brings the amount for this year to €17160

Our target for the year is €24228

Mission Sunday Collection

Next Sunday October 21st is Mission Sunday. On this special day we are given the opportunity to express our unity with and support to Christian communities everywhere.  This is one of the ten collections (9th) taken up in the course of the year-envelope is in your box.
